Where else can you play recreational ice hockey in the Upstate within walking distance of bars, restaurants and retail shops?

Greer Upstate Recreational Hockey Association (GURHA) in the Greenville, SC area has a novel approach to the game of hockey: reward outstanding players, invite them to gather for fellowship after the games at the rink or visit local bars and restaurants within walking distance of the rink, and provide great customer service to each and every player.

The Association’s programs are based in downtown Greer, SC, a revitalized city experiencing tremendous growth. It’s listed in the Top 10 of the fastest growing cities in South Carolina. In 2014, the population in Greer was 27,676. The population has grown to nearly 33,400! This quaint community encompasses approximately 16 square miles and boasts three lakes, the Tyger River, beautiful public parks, and a downtown rich with bars, restaurants, coffee shops and retail shops.

GURHA Hosts Games in a Fun and Exciting New Place to Play

As the fastest-growing private adult hockey club in the Upstate, GURHA is on track to elevate the game for players in the Greenville area and beyond with expanded programs and innovative divisions.

And with a growing number of local sponsors, the Association is also creating opportunities for area businesses to capitalize on the growing popularity of adult recreational ice hockey in the Upstate.

This grass-roots effort has benefited from a unique partnership with The Ice Station, who has offered exclusive ice rental rights to GURHA.

The venue boasts several locker rooms, a limited pro shop, flat-screen TVs, a spacious lobby with seating, a synthetic outdoor rink, and an outdoor seating and grilling area for post-game cookouts.
